When the completion of designing and crafting process of your website have been done and all the development functions have been performed, now is the time to take some appropriate and final measures, before it gets launches and introduces itself to the web world. On the completion of the project, because of ones excitement, minor useful modifications are negotiated, which hampers the performance a lot. 1. One of the important reminders is of the use of appropriate and sufficient title tags. The title tags are of much importance to a user-friendly site. Therefore, all pages should have the title tag of their own and a proper check on the title tags is important as designers too forget to provide them.
2. One thing that is of due importance is the compatibility of your site over different browsers. A website looking perfect on firefox may be a nuisance on the internet explorer. This can be very irritating for the web user. Moreover, it will result in declining of the web traffic. It should be the main priority of the designers to give it a check over all the existing browsers and check its functioning; this will be helpful in attaining maximum traffic towards the website.
3. Conducting a spell and grammar check over the content really proves to be helpful. It makes sure that the content provided is free from any mistake and is theoretically correct. Read the content that you have provided and make others read it, this actually finds mistakes that seem to be correct but are not. This, in result will make the readers know about the seriousness and professional nature.
4. A visitor promptly gets frustrated, on being lost or confused, in your site. Broken links should be taken care of, as they hamper the flow of the visitors search. Working on, examine all the links and see that they are working correctly. On the other hand, links should be clearly visible and presented in different color. This makes it more user-friendly.
5. Lastly, the creation of 404 error page should be done. 404 error page, is the page, which displays the error, when a search for non existing page is made. The web designers and developers have often forgotten this page. This page helps you to communicate with the user and make him know that the search performed is producing no positive result.
