1. Vibrating and unmatched color, choosing wrong color for logo
Using vibrating wrong colors gives wrong vibe to the user. A website should use colors which suits its environment properly. The logo must look very attractive by using proper color palette.
2. Messed up typography
The pattern of writing a text is forms a crucial part. Font size (should not be below 9px-10px) and sizes for various headings, tags should be carefully chosen. If the text is unreadable and messy, the quality of the entire web site is going to be jeopardized. And then the quality of the content won’t matter. So the text should look clean and clear.
3. Lengthy and boring form
One of the negative aspects for any user is to fill up lengthy forms! Therefore, extra fields should be reduced. The compulsory and the optional fields should be highlighted; filling up the entire form should be optional so that user can fill it up later.
4. Unmatched browser and resolution
Each visitor might have a different browser. Therefore, before developing any website, the site must be tested in top browsers and resolution.

When you choose a layout, you must be confident whether it is a fixed layout (used by corporate sites) or a fluid layout (used by sites that have a rich content). 7. Using user generated content.
Why you need user generated content on your site? Is it required? If not, then do not use it just because others are doing so.
8. Using unwanted technique like web 2.0
Some web designers incorporate the uses of web 2.0 techniques even when it is not required. So it is a better idea to not use techniques which are not needed.
9. Improper layout
In a website, usual things like font size, icon, use of CSS forms, typography should belong to one group only; it should not be imbalanced. Using of extra graphics can make the website look a piece of junk.
10. Over utilization of blank and white spaces
An increase in white space spoils the area which can be utilized in a better way.
So space must be utilized in a clever way in a website.
11. Considering SEO and website development as two different and distinct areas
While developing a website, SEO must begin from the first step only. SEO is not a different area compared to development of a website. With the use of SEO the website will have a pleasing design and will be easier to market from the very beginning.
