Web is the largest ever designed creation by the man that has a vast ground of information connected with it. In this ocean of knowledge there are many terms that may confuse the individuals to step forward. We provide you with some of the key terms that help the users to have basic concepts of the web designing world in the form of a glossary.
From A to H
Acrobat: Acrobat is a software which has created by the ADOBE that helps you to read and create PDF files.
Aliasing: Aliasing is the term used to describe the alignment and fixture edge of the image in web designing.
Anti Aliasing: Anti aliasing is the technique of giving the smooth touch to the shady edges of the graphic images.
Animation: Animation is the motion applied on the image and graphics.
Animated GIF: These are the animated pictures or cartoons that are encrypted with motions and can be moved.

Domain Name: Domain name is the name of the website for example www.google.com.
Domain Name System (DNS): DNS is the process of linking the site to the Internet.
Email: It is the form of sending messages via Internet that consist text, images etc.
E-Commerce: It is the selling of goods and services online.
Flash: It is a software, commonly used in designing of the websites and animation.
Font Weight: It refers to the width of the font on the Internet site.
File Transfer Protocol (FTP): It helps you to transfer files on the Internet.
Graphic Interchange Format (GIF): GIF is the format in which images and graphics are displayed.
Home Page: It is the main and front page of any website.
Hyper Text Mark-up Language (HTML): HTML is the programming language commonly used as a web designing language.
Hyperlink: It is the link in the form of an address that directs you to the site whenever you click on it apparently.

Internet: It is the network that has been spread over the globe connecting people.
Intranet: It is the network that has been spread in a limited area. This network is accessed by the people coming under it.
Internet Protocol (IP): It is the destination address of each and every computer.
JavaScript: It is a programming language that exhibits on the web pages to make them catchy.
Joint Photographers Experts Group (JPEG): It is the format that defines the images.
Meta tags: These are the special phases that link up with the website.
MP3: This is a music file supported format.
Portable Document Format (PDF): PDF, developed by the Adobe helps the text files to present in special formats.
PHP: It is a programming language that is used to develop website.
Pop up: It is the additional page that is opened during the surfing time.

Uploading: It is the process of loading images of videos or content on the Internet.
Web Page: A web page is the display page of the site.
Web Site: It is the location where you can store and display the content and multimedia stuff online.
World Wide Web (WWW): It is the link that connects the site on the Internet.
